Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre Sandakan

This famous sanctuary is dedicated to the rehabilitation and conservation of orang utans. Situated at the edge of the Kabii Sepilok Forest Reserve, the centre offers the chance to observe these primates up close in their natural habitat. Visitors can watch the young and orphaned orang utans being fed by rangers (Feeding times are at 10.00am and 3.00pm). The more adventurous can trek the 5km trail that runs through the mangrove forest at Sepilok Laut. Chalets are provided for overnight visitors.
