City Mosque

The City Mosque is a stunning example of contemporary Islamic architecture. Built on a 2.47 acre site at Likas Bay, just 3km from the city centre, this mosque holds the distinction of being the largest mosque in Kota Kinabalu. The mosque complex, which houses three madrasahs and a prayer hall, can accommodate between 9,000 to 12,000 worshippers at a time. This beautiful floating mosque shares similar features with the Nabawi Mosaque in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
