Bentong Hospital is one of the 11 hospitals in Pahang. Began operations in the 1920s. Bentong district has a population of about 119,000 people. The outpatient department was inaugurated by KDYMM Sultan of Pahang on 30 June 1966 and it covers an area of 7.8 acres. Led by Dr. Theeban a/l Suntherasegarun.

Established in the center of Bentong city center. The hospital has achieved numerous awards and achievements. Among them are the 2nd place winner of the Chief Secretary to the Government Quality Award (AKKSN) in 2005, nominated as a Finalist for the Prime Minister’s Quality Award in 2005, a Finalist for the United Nation Public Service Award 2006 and a Finalist for the Commonwealth Level Innovation Award (C.A.P.A.M) in 2006.
